Education and Training

Our practice is a training and teaching practice attached to the Donegal Programme for GP Training. Registrars are post graduate doctors who have a great deal of hospital experience. They are attached to our practice for 6 to 12 months and patients find their fresh, enthusiastic approach adds to the health care we provide. The registrars often become GP partners after completing their training, and they are at all times encouraged to seek advice when required from senior partners.

We are also attached to the undergraduate programmes for medical student training in NUIG, UCD and TCD, and students may be attached to our practice for short periods. On occasion, students from other health disciplines are also attached to the practice.

If at any stage you would prefer that a student is not present in your consultation, please let the receptionist, doctor or nurse know.
